Morning. An art exhibition held in a Church displaying the work of homeless people in my area.
Afternoon. A Dolls House Festival.
Evening. Street musicians from Congo.

Like I said, it was a rather funny day. In a good way. Hey!

I popped into my local church to check out a little exhibition run by the 240 Project - a community & activity centre for excluded and vulnerable people in my area. All sorts of fun things.

 I bought three badges made by the arty chappies from the exhibition. I've popped them on my colourful jacket to chill with the Andy Warhol badges.

I like boring things. Art is what you can get away with. 

That's just how it is eh.

 Seriously, Dollshouse (one word? Really?) Festivals exist. In fact, they are a big deal in the Dollshouse world and community. It was quite frankly the most wonderful event ever. All manner of people had traveled from all around the country to buy the latest 'Tadpole jar', 'Celery in a glass', 'Bird nest', 'Bar of soap', 'Ink well'...in little finger nail size to compliment their already well furnished mini houses.

Bear in mind that every object I've photographed needs a magnifying glass to look at properly. The 'White Spirit' bottle, for example, was not much bigger than a sunflower seed. And the 'Glass of Beer'? A jelly bean.

 

£125 for that pea sized ornament? BARGAIN, I'd say.

AND FINALLY, THE EVENING.

In the morning newspaper I spotted that 'Staff Benda Bilili' were playing at the Roundhouse at 9pm. Ideal! I saw them at WOMAD festival in the summer & fell in love. Their vibe is rooted in rumba, with elements of old-school rhythm 'n' blues & reggae. The core of the band consists of four senior singers/guitarist, who are all disabled (they suffered from polio when they were young) & move around in spectacularly customized tricycles, and a couple of younger street kids. The soloist is an 20 year-old boy who plays guitar-like solos on an electrified one-stringed lute he designed & built himself out of a tin can.

I BLOODY LOVED THAT (watch this - on the right hand side click 'play'! Haha. Went with my mum & she certainly agreed that they were 'literally amazing..just amazing yah yah')
